Listening to Residents in Snow Valley
Spent a couple of hours this evening speaking with residents in the Snow Valley community.
While every conversation is different, several themes came up repeatedly:
- Increased traffic on Snow Valley Road
- Speeding and road safety concerns
- Questions about future water capacity and potential restrictions as growth continues in the area
What stood out to me is that these concerns are all connected.
Residents want to know that as Springwater grows, our infrastructure, roads, and services will keep pace. They want confidence that growth is being planned responsibly and that existing residents won't be left dealing with the consequences of decisions made today.
As someone who works in municipal infrastructure, I understand why these concerns matter. Growth can bring opportunities, but it must be supported by the infrastructure and servicing needed to sustain it.
Thank you to everyone who took the time to speak with me tonight. These conversations are helping shape the priorities I'll bring to council if elected.
